A winging scapula is a sign of weak stabilizers. In push-ups, handstands, and planks, your shoulder blades should lie flat against your ribcage. If they stick out, your shoulder mechanics are compromised, and injury risk increases. Train scapular push-ups, serratus drills, and retraction exercises to correct it. Good control protects your shoulders and transfers more force to your arms.
