Start in a plank position. Lift one hand off the floor and tap the opposite shoulder. Return it to the floor and repeat on the other side. Keep your hips stable—don't let them rotate or sag. This is a great progression from the static plank to more dynamic core work. Build up to 10 controlled taps on each side. Master this before moving to more complex core exercises.
