From advanced tuck, extend your legs to the sides in a wide straddle position. Arms stay straight, elbows locked, scapulae protracted. This position dramatically increases the lever arm and requires good hip flexibility in addition to strength. Keep your hips open and your body as horizontal as possible. Hold for 15-20 seconds. Use parallettes to reduce wrist strain. This is the bridge between tuck and full planche. Master straddle before attempting half lay or full planche. Prerequisite: Advanced Tuck Planche mastered.
