Face the wall, place your hands on the floor, and walk your feet up the wall into a handstand. Hold the position with your core braced, shoulders packed, and body straight. This is the most basic handstand hold. Build up to 60 seconds. If you can't hold it, reduce the time or use a block. Master this before attempting freestanding.
